Firstly a big thanks to everyone who helped at the cross country on Saturday in whatever capacity. Without your contribution the event would not go ahead. It’s our opportunity to put something back and we did it very well.

The feedback from other clubs and officials has been excellent.

The results to our internal competition are attached here. Please check you have the correct number of points. I’ve taken the names & positions from the results on the Harrier League website. I’ve included Fred Smith and myself who are missing from the official results. I can tell you that we both finished and ran very well!!

Congratulations must go to Gemma Bradley 3rd lady in senior womens race and collected her first medal. It’s along time since a Saltwell Harrier finished in the first 3 of a harrier league event. It was a very good performance by Saltwell Ladies overall finishing 4th in division two. Keep it up ladies.

Jim Thompson ran well to finish 18th and move up to the medium pack and join Matt and Rob. Unfortunately Rob was forced to retire due to injury so his position at the top of the mens leader board is lost to Keith. With only two races to go the competition is still wide open in both the women and mens competition. A missed race could be costly due to the large numbers that are turning out. Alnwick next (day before the big trip to wembley) with the big hill at Prudhoe bringing the XC season to a close. Though the ‘Do’ on the evening of the 22nd March should be a night.

Regards

Keith
